changing me a little-bit at a time
but seasons of change
a switch in the wind
bring your strong forces
to alter me in dramatic ways
leaving yourself in the
spaces where i've been chipped away
filling where i'm incomplete

just as i
rise and fall against you
changing your rock a little
and sometimes in a storm
a lot
leaving pieces of myself
in the holes of your mass
warmed by the sun
becoming puddles for new things to grow

constant waves
or lively swells
you will be different because of me
just as i am never the same after you
